Privacy Policy

The data controller for personal data processed through AutomotivEye is smaltsoft, an online business registered in Poland (NIP: 7671619629).

When you create an account: your email address and display name.

When you use the chat: the content of your messages, stored linked to your account.

We do not collect or store payment card details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe.

Account and chat data: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — we need this data to provide the service you signed up for.

Billing and invoicing records: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — required under Polish tax law.

Security and fraud prevention: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Stripe, Inc. (payment processing): we share your email address and name to process subscription payments. Stripe acts as a data processor. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Resend (email delivery): we share your email address to send account confirmation emails. Resend acts as a data processor.

Google LLC (AI processing): the content of your chat messages is sent to Google's Gemini AI model to generate responses. Google is a US-based processor operating under EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Account data and chat history are retained for 2 years from your last activity, or until you request deletion.

Billing records are retained as required by Polish tax law (5 years).

After the applicable retention period, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.

Under GDPR/RODO you have the right to:

— Access: request a copy of your personal data. — Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data. — Erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"). — Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format. — Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data. — Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, email automotiveye@smaltsoft.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection supervisory authority (UODO): uodo.gov.pl.

We use one functional cookie: NEXT_LOCALE, which stores your language preference (English or Polish). This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function correctly and does not require your consent under GDPR.

We do not use tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. The current version is always available at automotiveye.com/legal/privacy.

Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
